Academic Background
Cecile Annette is a PhD candidate in Translation & Intercultural studies at the University of Buea and holds a Master of Arts in Translation (English to French and French to English) as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buea. She was top of her batch graduating with a first class undergraduate degree. Cecil has equally attended training seminars organised by the United Nations and the European Institute of Cooperation & Development.
Professional Experience
Cecile Annette has been practising as a legal translator and interpreter for more than a decade. Over her professional life she has translated over 400,000 words including books, articles, reports, documents, letters, contracts, briefs, court documents in the specialized fields of law, business and medicine. She has also served as conference interpreter at countless local and international conferences and seminars.
Cecile works with experts in specialist fields and industry sectors to translate technical, legal, judicial, medical, commercial, industrial, theological or financial documents. She is also a lecturer and language instructor at various universities and institutes of higher learning.
Cecile has worked with international organisations and key institutions such as the United Nations, the Cameroon Autonomous Sinking Fund (CAA), MTN Cameroon, the Turkish-Cameroon Business Cooperation, COHA Gallery, global law firms, the Institute of Languages for International Integration, the Local Government Training Centre (CEFAM), OVAMBA, University of Ngaoundéré, Christ Life Fellowship (USA), Gospel of Christ Ministries (Cameroon/USA), International Miracle Institute (IMI, USA), USAID, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, professional bodies, several public bodies, etc.
